I am the 21st century realistic impressionist who captures the serenity of Nature in all its glory. My expressive brush strokes create radiant canvases, providing an exciting feast for the senses. "Through my art, I try to give the viewer my love of painting, by transporting them to another place and time, in the same manner as the actual act of painting does for me.".
I use my own version of nature's radiance and celebration of life. I am sensitive to the contrasting textures which greet the eye, and adjust my brushwork to evoke not only color and light, but also the emotional feeling of the majestic trees, beautiful flowers, and fantastic scenes that are before me. The same can be said as precious pictures of a small white dog also appear in scenes.
Recording the beauty and magnetism of the Garden State is the specialty of my artwork. I paint the awesome breath and mist of the Jersey shore as a lighthearted world with shimmering sunlight, in which children love to play.
I feel that glorious flowers are Nature's jewels yet they are reminiscent of the fragile yet strong nature of life. With unfailing insight, I portray their naturalness. The winding paths in my garden series, "Le Jardin", can be compared to the path of life, which we all travel. In these paintings I say to my viewers, "Stop and smell the flowers along the path of life, with all of its twists and turns, eventually leading to eternity.".
Other treasures of life are portrayed in still life scenes of ballet slippers, toys, and musical instruments, which are luminous and precious. Being the mother of three children and blessed with four grandchildren, has resulted in experiences as a wife,mother, and grandmother, which makes me sensitive to the treasures of life. My paintings reflect a woman who sees all in life as beautiful, no matter what challenges arise.
My husband and I have been married for fifty years and my family is proud of many accomplishment. I have received numerous awards for my unique art style during the past twenty years, and have received extensive media acclaim. Prominent corporations and galleries in New Jersey and New York have featured my exhibitions and juried shows. My paintings are also in private collections in New Jersey,New York, Florida,Connecticut,California, Washington DC,and Pennsylvania.
I am currently creating unique paintings for my commissions, as well as future shows, and I teach art privately in my studio. Sharing my knowledge with emerging artists gives me joy! I always give them a smile and an encouraging word.
I am Fortunate to be the Art Consultant to the National Committee for HABITAT, New York, N.Y., which directly supports the United Nations Shelter and Environmental Initiatives. My painting, "A Better World For All" is exhibited in their permanent collection.
